i had a very mild case of bed bugs 2.5 years ago. They did 2 treatments, the first 1 the Orkin man brought 2 other men with him and was in my house for a couple of hours.
I been battling them for a month now and again the Orkin man (I live in public housing) comes but its just him and he is here for at the most 10 minutes. I have had 4 treatments a week apart.
After these treatment to my home, I got 10 bites on one arm and they are very painful.
How long does it take for bed bugs to be completely exterminated?

Hi Michelle,
The length of time it takes to completely exterminate bed bugs can vary depending on the severity of the infestation and the treatment methods used. In general, it can take multiple treatments over several weeks or even months to completely eradicate bed bugs.
Based on what you've described, it's possible that your infestation was not completely eliminated after the initial treatments 2.5 years ago and may have resurged. It's also possible that the recent treatments have not been effective in eliminating all of the bed bugs, leading to the new bites you've experienced.
It's important to work closely with your pest control professional to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that includes both chemical treatments and non-chemical methods such as vacuuming, steam cleaning, and encasing mattresses and box springs in special bed bug-proof covers.
It's also important to be patient during the treatment process, as it can take time to completely eliminate bed bugs. In the meantime, you may want to consider using bed bug interceptors on the legs of your bed and other furniture to help monitor for bed bug activity and reduce the number of bites you experience.
All the best,
