Comment on Killing Bed Bugs

I have discovered a bedbug problem recently. Bought a HOT SHOT bedbug killer. I find some bedbugs, spray right directly on them and they just keep walking.
Then I spray a solution of dish washing soap and ammonia (roughly 3 parts water, 2 parts ammonia and one part liquid dish soap. I use this to wash my dishes by hand, sometimes, and the sink, etc) Guess what, this soap-ammonia solution killed the bedbugs on the spot.
So much for the commercial bed bug killer.
Bed Bugs Handbook Editor Comment:
Hot Shot contains 3-phenoxybenzyl-(1RS, 3RS, 1RS, 3SR)-2, an insecticide that kills Pyrethroid-Resistant Bed Bugs and eggs. and ammonia do not kill bed bugs and should
not be used to combat them.
